Pastor Holding’s pastoral ministry at Berea started in 1986 and ended in 1993. During his tenure at Berea, Pastor Holding cultivated a peaceful and supportive community where members were willing to work together to enhance the development of the church.

Pastor Holding’s passion was playing the guitar. He had no reservation in playing it during church services and at street meetings. His liking for street meetings was evident in the frequency of the number of them that were kept each year.

His quiet and humble demeanor allowed him to be loved by his congregants. He had great influence on the youths who started attending Berea during his tenure.

As Berea grew numerically and spiritually, the need for Pastor Holding to upgrade his skills-set was highlighted by the Seventh Day Christian Conference. With great determination, Pastor Holding took on the challenge and was enrolled in a Bible Institution in New York to sharpen his skills in preaching and administration. The end result was phenomenal.

On Berea’s 60th Anniversary, the contribution of Pastor Holding is recognizable. His influence cannot go unnoticed. He has fought a good fight and is still batting strong.
